Hatred Of A Friend
Briskly and quietly,
I turned away.
Resentfully and sadly,
My eyes turned a dull gray.
My insides filled with flames,
As I laughed at the thought,
Of being best friends with you,
In a lie I was caught.
Never were you my best friend,
Another always stood in your place.
Never were you at the top of my list,
So easily you were replaced.
I see you have moved on,
And I smile at your loss,
You have turned to another,
Maybe they will help a lost cause.
You were never very smart,
Though I always refused to admit,
Trying to make you feel bright,
Even though you were so dully lit.
Everything you did,
Made me question your gifts,
